About Hold My Chaos
Hold My Chaos is a minimal breathing app for iPhone, made by Hold My Company. The idea is simple: while you breathe, the five loops of the logo slowly settle into one calm circle.
Who writes the guides
The guides are written by Hold My Company, which makes the app. They explain published research and official health advice. They are not medical advice and do not replace a doctor.
How we write the guides
- Sources. We rely on official health bodies (the NHS, the US National Institutes of Health, the CDC, the WHO), university medical centres, professional bodies and peer-reviewed research. Every guide lists its sources at the end.
- Only from the sources. Numbers and facts in the guides and diagrams come only from the sources listed there.
- We say how strong the evidence is. We point out when a study is small, has no comparison group or when sources disagree. If something is not proven, we say so.
- Diagrams. We draw every diagram ourselves. Illustrations that are not real measurements are labelled as such. Breathing rhythms come from the same data the app's techniques use.
- Safety first. Guides say when to stop, when to see a doctor and when to call an emergency number.
- No ads. There are no ads or sponsored content on this site.
- Updates. Every guide shows when it was last updated. We review guides when their sources change.
